I was craving cream cheese wontons. I love the crunchy texture of the fried wonton skin and the creaminess of the cream cheese. Wow! These were a hit with my family. They were gone in seconds so make sure to make extra so you get a few bites yourself.

Serves: 22 cream cheese wontons
Ingredients
- 1 package of cream cheese (8 ounces) at room temperature
- ⅛ tsp garlic powder
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 package of wontons
- Vegetable/Peanut Oil to fry the wontons
- Sweet chili Sauce for the dip
Instructions
- Mix cream cheese with an electric/stand mixer or a wooden spoon.
- Combine garlic powder and salt into the cream cheese and mix.
- Add chopped green onions into the cream cheese mixture and combine and set aside.
- Mix one large egg and set it to the side. This will help seal your cream cheese wontons.
- Take 1 tsp of your cream cheese filling and place it in the middle of your wonton wrapper.
- Seal the two edges of your wonton with the egg wash.
- Fold over the wonton and crimp the edges to seal the filling. Make sure not to create any air pocket.
