Shrimp Tempura/Panko

This recipe is super easy 1-2-3 and you are done! If you have a party to attend or hosting a party, this appetizer will be a hit with your friends and family. I use tempura batter to coat the shrimp and finish it with panko flakes for that crunchy texture.

Ingredients
  • 1 lbs. shrimp (devein and clean)
  • 1 package of Panko Flakes
  • ½ package of Tempura Batter Mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • vegetable oil to deep fry
Instructions
  1. Wash and devein shrimp
  2. Salt and Pepper
  3. Beat eggs and place in one shallow container
  4. Add tempura batter mix in another shallow container
  5. Add panko flakes and third shallow container
  6. Coat the shrimp in egg batter, then tempura mix batter and last panko flakes.
  7. Heat oil in a deep heavy bottom pan and fry until golden crispy.
Notes
You can use any kind of dipping sauce. I chose an Asian sweet chili sauce but you can use ranch dressing, honey mustard, mayo with sriracha, or ketchup will go great with this shrimp tempura recipe.
