This recipe is super easy 1-2-3 and you are done! If you have a party to attend or hosting a party, this appetizer will be a hit with your friends and family. I use tempura batter to coat the shrimp and finish it with panko flakes for that crunchy texture.
Shrimp Tempura/Panko

Ingredients
- 1 lbs. shrimp (devein and clean)
- 1 package of Panko Flakes
- ½ package of Tempura Batter Mix
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- vegetable oil to deep fry
Instructions
- Wash and devein shrimp
- Salt and Pepper
- Beat eggs and place in one shallow container
- Add tempura batter mix in another shallow container
- Add panko flakes and third shallow container
- Coat the shrimp in egg batter, then tempura mix batter and last panko flakes.
- Heat oil in a deep heavy bottom pan and fry until golden crispy.
Notes
You can use any kind of dipping sauce. I chose an Asian sweet chili sauce but you can use ranch dressing, honey mustard, mayo with sriracha, or ketchup will go great with this shrimp tempura recipe.
